An engagement ring or a wedding ring is something quite special. These are rings that are about love, commitment and endurance, and the rings should reflect precisely this. Therefore, it is also especially important to choose stones for these rings that are strong enough to last a lifetime (or longer). I am often asked the question "Which stone is best for the engagement or wedding ring?" in my shop. An excellent question, because naturally you want the stone to last in the long run! I have made a short video series about this, each lasting about 4 minutes:

Do you want to know precisely what makes a gemstone strong enough for the ”long haul”? Then watch part 1 of the video series about strong gemstones where I talk about Mr Mohs' discovery of how minerals can be graded and thereby determine which ones are the strongest.

Even the strongest gemstones can be destroyed because of cleavage. What kind of phenomenon that is and what you can do about it you will learn in part 2:

Part 3 is about colours. Because fortunately there are more options than white, blue and red!
