The characteristic petals of the columbine with their twisted spurs were the inspiration for these earrings. At the bottom, the adorable amethyst flower bud with the little twists around the stem that winds long and slender upwards. At the top, the stem is attached to the ear with a single leaf that winds under the earlobe. Measures 7 cm in total, with amethyst.
The earrings were developed for the exhibition ”Florilegium Ornamentum”, which takes place in Tage Andersen's iconic flower shop in Copenhagen. See the other jewellery from the exhibition here.

Rhodium plated or not?
White gold itself is a warm silver colour with a slight yellow tinge. Rhodium plating is like gold plating - a thin layer of metal on top of the jewellery. Rhodium plating gives a lighter, silver-white surface, but it wears off over time and needs to be renewed if the colour is to be preserved.
If you are unsure which of the two versions of white gold you want to wear, you can learn more here.
