Purchasing jewelry from abroad

Castens creates many pieces of jewelry for customers worldwide. The prices on this website are in Danish kroner and include 25% VAT. If you buy jewelry from a country outside the EU, we will deduce the VAT. If you order from a country outside the EU, you might have to pay local taxes and duties which we cannot be held responsible for. If this is the case you will be contacted by carrier. Be aware that this may delay the shipment because the goods are held in customs. In this case it is your responsibility to contact the shipping company and pay the extra fees.

 

Shipping and delivery

We send all jewelery by parcel post or registered post, making it possible to track the package, if problems should occur. The goods are insured during shipment: Should the package be damaged upon receipt, please take a picture of it before you open it to check whether its contents are also damaged. If so, you should please report immediately or within 2 days of receipt to the carrier and us and the return the piece of jewellery to us. Castens is not responsible for goods damaged in transit. We always pack the goods with utmost care, reducing the risk of cargo damage as much as in any ways possible.
All jewelry comes in a beautiful box with gold print at no extra cost.

We cooperate both with PostNord (in Denmark) and FedEx (the rest of the world) to send your personal, handmade jewelry to you.

Complaints

All pieces are covered by the Danish Purchase Act and comes with a 24 month warranty. The warranty means that you as a customer can complain about deficiencies of the product which after the purchase and within 24 months. In this case you can either get the jewelry repaired, exchanged for a gift certificate, or reduction in price, depending on the specific situation.
The warranty does not cover when flaws or damages are the result of misuse, lack of maintenance or normal wear. For complaints, errors or omissions please contact us by telephone +45 32 20 04 44 or email: design@castens.com
Castens covers the reasonable freight costs which may occur in connection with a complaint.

 

Exchange and Refund

All purchases made through the webshop are returned for up to 14 days from the day you receive the item. The product must be unused and in original and intact packaging. The item must be sent or submitted to Castens, Holbergsgade 19a, 1057 Copenhagen K, with bank account details and we will return the amount by bank transfer if the item is considered unused.

NOTE: It is the customer's own responsibility that the product will be delivered safely to the store.

If the product is considered to be used or damaged, it is not going to be refunded and it is the customer's own responsibility to collect the item or pay for shipping costs.

However, special rules apply to custom made goods which, according to the legislation of the Consumer and Competition Authority, are subject to other conditions for cancellation. If an item is custom made or adjusted according to the consumer's needs, the consumer can consent to the right of withdrawal only until manufacture, execution or adaptation commences. That is, when you shop at Castens webshop you will be asked to give consent for the cancellation right to end when the production is started so that we can go as soon as possible in case of an individualized product time to customize or produce the jewelry.

 

complaints

All jewelery is subject to the Danish purchase law's 24-month warranty. The right of claim means that you as a customer can complain about defects in the item that has occurred within 24 months of the purchase. Protection of personal information

Castens complies with applicable privacy laws, cf. the EU Personal Data Regulation of 2018. That is, the information we already have and those we receive in advance is not sold to third parties and is used exclusively in connection with the processing of the order. In case the customer agrees to the newsletter and creation in our customer register Castens Club. You can always request your information tranported or completely deleted.
